Pregnancy and Newborn Resources
Following the birth of your child, a public health nurse will contact you to see how you and the baby are doing and offer a visit to assist families with any questions or concerns you may have.
The early years of a child’s life are very important for his or her health and development. Click here for more information.
The Health Department offers free annual well water testing to low-income families with pregnant women or children in the home. Water is tested for bacteria and nitrates, which can be harmful to pregnant women and children. Unsafe water test results are referred to the Department of Natural Resources for assistance resolving problems.
