Child Safety
Car Seat Safety
The Health Department has a certified child passenger safety technician who is available to help parents and caregivers choose the right car seat for children, make sure the seat is installed properly, and understand what laws apply to child safety seats.
A limited supply of car seats are available to low-income Forest County families. Call us today to see if you’re eligible! For more information on laws regarding child safety seats, please see the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s site.

Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention
The lead program provides screenings of children one year to six years old, education on reducing lead exposures, and follow-up for children with elevated lead levels.
